I've got a Dell Mini 9, which I find almost unusable for working due to unusual placement of some keys, but it was purchased for my daughter to watch her videos on trips and it works great for that. Full screen playback of DVDs (ripped into xvid avi with mencoder) is no problem for it.

And a Dell Mini 10, which work bought for me and which I use whenever I'm out and need to fix something or at meetings to look stuff up and take notes. For emergency little fixes, the SSH console on the iPhone is my best friend, but sometimes the small screen is a hassle and that's when I bust out the Mini 10.

Both running Ubuntu (Mini 10 came with Windows) and working great. 1GB of RAM is more than enough for what I do with a netbook.
